I was reading Fruits basket yesterday - the chapter about Tohru's mum, and I commented to my sister that it was sad.
My sister said that if it was sad, why wasn't I crying...and I replied that you don't need to cry to know that it's sad.
And she said I was cold hearted...

If u like fruits basket, i suggest u stop reading where e anime stops and leave everything as it is.
U wouldnt like e way e story goes later on. E revelations later on are simply -_-"

anyways, shigure is such a bastard sia...
But the way the story comes together, I love it, cos in someways, I do think that way, like a person is not born bad/psychotic/evil, and that it's circumstances and EQ (or lack of) that moulds one's character.
I've read until 116 (scanlations) and 129 (from Hana to Yume, it's in jap though, I only understand like...40%? But most important, Kyou finally pulled himself together)
Ive always not gotten over e part about Yuki feeling Tohru as his "mother", crap... Their relationship was so misleading. I bet e writer must be thinking, "Oh shit, cannot lidat, must link back Kyo and Tohru" so came up wif e mother thingy and throw in a new gf for Yuki.
E author was very misleading in the 1st half, then apparently decided to go into different directions later on. But then i guess tts wat happens to some mangas. FMA also something lidat now, i haf no idea wat e author's thinking driving e story lidaT. lOL
I read all in english.
lol..ya very weird about the mother thing...i think she likes kyou (character) more...so being a(n evil) writer (with GOD power), she erased yuki out of the might-have-been love triangle. And most probably she wanted to focus on general relationships rather than turning this into a typical shoujo romance story (love triangle).
i find that fruits basket is getting boring.. i also prefer to have the ending like in the anime series.. haha.. but i buy the comic... so.. ~_~ in the end i will still get to know the ending (dont tink it will be wat i want)...haiz.. find it abit sian nowadays to read the fruits basket comic...
